Do Electronic Cigarettes Have Toxic Chemicals As Regular Cigarettes?

E cigs Vs TraditionalElectronic cigarettes are supposed to offer a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes. Their biggest selling point is that they do not cause anywhere near the long term damage as a regular cigarette might. Is this true though? Studies have been done to test the safety of electronic cigarettes. Now there are known to be more than 10.000 chemicals present in tobacco smoke.

All of these chemicals are said to be toxic, especially when a person is exposed to them regularly. There are about 40 carcinogens present in cigarettes, and these have been linked directly with cancer. The good news about electronic cigarettes is that as of this moment none of the more than 10.000 chemicals that are present in regular cigarettes have been found in cartridges or vapor of the electronic cigarette.

They are not complete clean though, there were trace quantities found. Now exactly what does this means for serious users of the product? Can you go on to use the electronic cigarette and feel safe regarding your health? I would say not just yet. The goal has to still be to tread lightly until there is more concrete evidence on the product.

Now maybe we could come to certain conclusions ourselves if we had user experiences that were bad. If people were reporting in large numbers that they were having bad side effects with using the electronic cigarette, then you can be sure these people would be used to demonstrate why the electronic cigarette is indeed not as safe as it claims to be.

The thing is that no one has reported any adverse side effects from using the electronic cigarette. Why is this such as important point? The product has been on the market for more than three years now. If people were having problems with it in any kind of way they would have come to the fore front already. The FDA does not seem to care about this though.

They are warning people of the presence of carcinogens at detectable levels in the electronic cigarette. However, none of this has been proven to be true indefinitely. Also, the FDA fails to ever mention that the level of carcinogens they may have discovered would be similar to what might be found in any nicotine replacement therapy product.

Why is this you might ask? One reason is because they are against the makers of the electronic cigarette.
